This engagement is linked to Fit for the Future (FFTF), part of the One Gloucestershire vision, focusing on the medium and long term future of specialist hospital services at Cheltenham General Hospital and Gloucestershire Royal Hospital.
The first phase of the FFTF programme last year included public consultation proposals to change the way services were organised across the county. As a result of the Consultation, it was decided that further work should be done to define a new option for Planned General Surgery.
We are therefore considering the best locations for carrying out surgical operations for people who require Gall bladder and weight loss surgery. We want to hear about your experiences of the current services, including how these may have changed as a result of the response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
We are keen to hear from current patients of the service as well as people who might need to use the services in the future. Please share your views by Monday 20 September 2021.
You may also wish to sign up to our engagement platform, Get Involved in Gloucestershire, where you can share your views, experiences and ideas about local health and care services.
